Course content
Foreign collectors and editors of fairy tales and legends. World myths and legends in the literature for children and youth. World fairy tales, typology. The development of the world's author's fairy tale in the 19th and 20th centuries, prominent representatives. World poetry for children in Czech translations.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course students should be able to: - to evaluate the approach of important foreign collectors to folklore and its inclusion in the literature for children and youth; - to appreciate the creation of prominent representatives of the world's author's fairy tale and poetry, to evaluate it from the point of view development of these genres; - to analyze and interpret artistic text in the context of the author's creation and the time of its creation; - to formulate and present their own interpretation of the selected title of literature for children and youth, taking into account the content of the subject.
