Course content
Introduction to the basics of lexicology and word formation, developmental trends in lexicology, current situation of lexicology.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
Czech lexicon as an open system. Its subsystems and structure. Stable centre and dynamic periphery. Paradigmatic and sytangatic relations between lexical items.

Mastering the basic summary, ability to work with a text and orientation in the text in terms of lexicology and word formation. Connection to morphology and syntactic questions.
