Course content
The subject of the 19th Century Literature 1 is based on the basic requirements of the Framework Education Program for Basic Education and aims to bring students into the cross-curricular subjects with literary texts so that the students are able to approach the development of romantic culture in accordance with the cultural and educational, and aesthetic-educational function of the literary text in the elementary school pupil dimension. We want students to understand through the selected texts of Czech and world literature in the first half of the 19th century how to fulfill the communication goals of literary education with respect to our present and especially everyday life. The course focuses on the perceptual component (the art gain from the text of information - artistic character, historical, social character) as well as on the productive component (creation of own opinion on the work and its defense). The course builds on the development of reading literacy and critical thinking of future teachers. Phenomenon of national revival, "fighting" for Czech written culture. Manuscript Counterfeits - Romantic Mystification in European Culture. Collectors of national folklore in European literature. Humor of the first half of the 19th century. The Changes and Constants of European Romanticism. The relationship of home and the world in the context of the literary development of the first half of the 19th century.
