Course content
Structure of artistic literary work, means of its thematic, compositional and language construction. The specifics of literature for children and youth, the decoding of artistic text in the younger school age. Essence and expressions of literary comics. Values and evaluation of literature for children and youth.

After completing the course students should be able to: - sssess the specifics of literature for children and youth; - to clarify the essence of the basic genres of literature for children and youth; - analyze and interpret poetry and prose of texts of literature for children and youth; - to appreciate the sources of literary comics used in the literature for children and youth; - evaluate the artistic level of specific literary works for children and youth.
