Course content
The lectures focus on statement modifications, statement modality, communication-pragmatic and proposition approach to texts, using the latest technical monograph and periodical literature; basics of Czech syntax development.

Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
Learning outcomes
Selected topics include statement modifications (ellipsis, subdivision, condensation, etc.), topical division of statements, statement modality and changing opinions on modality, and the issues of proposition and pragmatic approach to texts (cohesion, coherence, theory of speech acts). Lectures are continuously updated with new findings drawn from contemporary linguistic literature.
