Course content
The content of the subject is a complex analysis of contiguous texts. The selection of texts and the way of analysis are directly related to the requirements of the student's future pedagogical practice. In the analysis of the text, students will apply the knowledge gained in the Czech Grammar 1 to 4 Fundamentals. Selected authentic texts will be analyzed especially from the point of view of syntactic (including text syntax), morphological, stylistic and lexical. Complex analysis of the sentence simple. Complex analysis of sentences (parataxes, right and wrong hypotaxes, convicts with multiple-link clusters). The forms of the graphical record of the sentence are simple and conjecture. Propositional and communication-pragmatic approach to text analysis. Morphematic analysis. Grammatical categories of higher and lower order. Stylish validity of language resources

Learning outcomes
After completing the course students should be able to: Perform complex language analysis of coherent text. Perform a complex analysis of a simple sentence - to analyze the surface and depth of the syntax, to apply the sentence and the valency approach, to describe the semantic construction of the statement including the hierarchy of the semantic structure of the sentence and to recognize means of modalities. Recognize motivated and non-motivated verbal modifications when analyzing authentic texts. Analyze sentences, including their graphical record. Apply the propositional as well as the communication-pragmatic approach in the analysis of the text (describe means of textual continuity, thematic sequences, formal relations of statements in the text and the communication function of the statement). Carry out morphological analysis of words. Determine grammar categories of higher order. Determine grammatical categories for nouns, adjectives, pronomins, numerals, and verbs. To analyze the text from a stylistic point of view, focusing on the stylistic validity of linguistic, morphological, lexical and syntactical language means. Identify and describe stylistic deficiencies.
