Course description and content: Key works of the Czech literature of the 20th century. Choice is based on discussion with students.

Course objectives: To explain historical and cultural context of literary works, To analyze composition and topic framework of the piece of literature to search for its meaning for further literary development, To confront one´s own reading with the period and contemporary literary theoretical tendencies, To argue upon artistic value of the literary work.
