Course content
|
The lectures complement the seminar Czech Literature of the 20th century 2, it analyzes selected parts of Czech literary history in a wide cultural and social context. It emphasizes the transformation of Czech literature in the new century in relation to the end of Czechoslovakia and the 2nd World War.

|
This course describes Czech literature originating in the 1st half of the 20th century. Topics include: Pre- and post-war civilism, 1WW in literature, proletariate literature, poetism, surrealism, greap depression of the 1930s, literature under German occupation, origins of the war generation.
