Course content
Monitoring developmental trends in morphology and syntax using the electronic databases of the Czech National Corpus.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
Learning outcomes
Linguistic analysis of discourse, its structure, and communicative functions. Coherence and cohesion of texts. Structure of spontaneous communications. Special attention is directed to morphology and syntax and to tracing developmental tendencies. Students read selected papers, the Czech National Corpus is used.
