Course content
|
Students are encouraged to interpret selected works of Czech literature of the period 1945-1989. The emphasis is on their own perception of the literary work with regard to current theoretical and literary authorities. Interpretation of the work is based on knowledge of contemporary literary and historical context and leads through compositional and thematic analysis including that of its importance for the further development of literature. Interpretation of literary works allows further insight to such literary monuments that form the canon of literary history period 1945-1989.

Learning outcomes
|
Students are encouraged to interpret selected works of Czech literature of the period 1945-1989. Attendance of lectures and seminars "Czech literatury of the 20th century 3". Suggested attendance of seminar "SOUČP"/"SOUPB".

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio, Seminar Work
Presentation of a seminar work providing an individual analysis of a specific writer/work from the 2nd half of the 20th century. Attendance rate of at least 80 %.
