Learning outcomes
|
After completing the course students should be able to: - define basic linguistic concepts, - to clarify the basic theories of the origin of the language and the origin and development of the script, - to explain the difference between the typological and genetic classification of languages, - to list language families and language groups of the Indo-European language family, - to enumerate and characterize the different phases of the development of world and Czech linguistics, - to assess the contribution of specific linguists worldwide, - analyze, evaluate the most important linguistic directions.
