Course content
Development of collecting within Czech lands in relation to relevant style eras /Premyslids, House of Luxembourg, humanism period, Rudolph's era, aristocratic collections in the Baroque period, origins of museology, patriotic guilds, formation of the National Gallery/. Principles of creating private as well as state artistic collections. Important acquisitions, their documentation and preservation. Present-day scientific and research character and professional profilation of selected museums and galleries in Bohemia and Moravia.

Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Attendace - 13 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 22 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The education objective is to learn the development of collecting within Czech lands in relation to relevant style eras /Premyslids, House of Luxembourg, humanism period, Rudolph's era, aristocratic collections in the Baroque period, origins of museology, patriotic guilds, formation of the National Gallery/. Principles of creating private as well as state artistic collections. Important acquisitions, their documentation and preservation. Present-day scientific and research character and professional profilation of selected museums and galleries in Bohemia nad Moravia
Based on knowledge gained in further studies to establish the knowledge gained to be used in future in educational practice

Participation in seminars, 2 authorized absences allowed, seminar work, literature study.
