Course content
The content of this discipline is a specific way of arranging works of art using intermediate procedures. On the theoretical and practical level, research of the possibilities of linking traditional media (painting, drawing, creating space) to new media (performance, environment, installation, digital photos, video) is carried out. The aim of the course is to introduce selected artifacts to viewers with a combination of pre-prepared projects with flexible changes resulting from the reaction of participant to their implementation. Emphasis is placed on performative and collaborative practices. In this process, an immediate emotional experience meets up with rational analysis, while immanent content and form of the arranged artifacts are exposed to a new, open system of interpretation, which brings contemporary visual art discourse and more generally the means of communication in today's media society. Basic topics: Mediation of works of art Intermedia processes in the mediation process Performative and collaborative practices The current discourse of visual arts Media society
