Course content
First Basic laws of applied art. Second Factors involved in the aesthetics of graphic design. 3rd Design principles of ornament and their relation to the wearer. 4th Introduction to the strong personalities of contemporary design. 5th Getting to know the histories and present one of the selected fields. 6th Deepening sensitivity to sensory properties of the textile material. 7th Through practical work with specific materials explore its specific characteristics and expressive possibilities for creation, for art, for the development of creativity of children and for their own creativity.

Learning outcomes
The objective is to provide students with the basic regularities and terminology of the applied art, its insertion into the system of culture and explain basic factors of the applied art aesthetics; show decorating and ornament regularities and their relationship to the wearer; point out the deeper lawfulness of rhythm existence within Man's life and its asserting with regards to the children's creation and visual art, in applied art as well as free art of contemporary artists; lead to understanding the specific material features and its relationship to the purpose and form upon using an example of one material; lead to understanding the creative possibilities of selected materials and their applications within the nursery school pedagogical practice through performing experiments and mastering some techniques.
Basic knowledge of applied art. Ability to contribute to the development of aesthetic sensitivity in children to kindergarten. Explore the expressive possibilities of fabric. Develop and enhance sensory awareness. To develop the creative potential of children.

Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary), Seminar Work

Seminar work from the field of applied and decorative art. Own practical works with textile material. Exhibits of children's work resulting from the art education tuition.
