Course content
This part of Religious Studies focuses on historical perspective of world religions and their role in today's world.1. The origin and development of religion 2. Tribal religions3. Mesopotamian religion "History begins in Sumer - Zarathustra"4. The Indus Valley - Hinduism5. Buddhism - Djinnism 6. Chinese religion7. Zeus and Greek religion8. Religion of Slavs and Germans9. Eastern and Western Christianity, reformation 10. Islam

Learning outcomes
A brief history of world religions. Judaism, the Bible and its role. History of Christianity and Christian church. Established churches and religious sects. Major Christian Churches and their structures. Religion in today's world.

Student elaborates each given and lectured topic on approx 1-2 pages and submits it in order to acquire a credit.
