Course content
Dissolution of a bipolar world. Development in Czechoslovakia in Central European context. Up-to-date issues of the current World.

Learning outcomes
The break up of bipolar system of the world. The development in Czechoslovakia in the Central European context. The Problems of the transition to democracy. The division of the Czecho-Slovak Federal Republic and the constitution of the political system of the Czech Republic. The international development on the threshold of the 21st century. The involvement of the Czech Republic in international organizations. The membership of the Czech Republic in the EU and engagement in the NATO. Up-to-date problems of contemporary world and the role of the Czech foreign policy.
