Course content
Topics: Placing subjects in the context of the Czech vision of education, comparison with foreign approaches. Contents of framework educational programs; individual thematic units of educational fields; cross-cutting themes and key competencies related to the content focus of Citizenship Education and Civic and Social Science Basics.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to: " evaluate the position of disciplines within a comprehensive view of secondary education; " describe the history and development of curriculum documents, including their current status; " understand and explain the connection between their discipline and other educational disciplines; " characterize the professional content of key social science disciplines; " analyze and interpret their field with regard to the development of literacy; " analyze the content of the educational fields of Citizenship Education and Civic and Social Science Basics.

Assessment methods and criteria

Participation in consultations, completion of assigned tasks, self-study. Students who do not attend at least 50% of classroom teaching (consultations) will complete substitute work beyond the scope of the assigned tasks according to the teacher's instructions. The colloquium is a form of colloquial written work that students complete according to the teacher's instructions.
