Course content
|
Development of European states during the 19th a 20th Century. The First and Second World War in Europe. Important historical documents and persons.European integration after Second World War. Contemporary conflicts and problems follows from historical development of Europe.

Learning outcomes
|
Goal of subject is get to know students with the most important events, documents and personalities of European history of 20th Century in relation of formation the modern statehood and proces of European integration after the 1945. After the finishing will be students able to: - define term modern European statehood - clarify political development the most important European states (Great Britain, France, Germany and Russia, or rather Soviet Union) in 20th Century - explain causes of European integration - enumarate and characterize the most important turning points and personalities of European history of 20th Century - consider importance individual personalities and historical turning points in European history of 20th Century - analyse, evaluate of European history of 20th Century in the context of contemporary development
Competences, which corresponding with extent of goals setting in this subject.

Knowledge of general history in minimal extent of secondary school curriculum.

Assessment methods and criteria
|

Students form of self-learning best learning supports, and the selected study literature. In addition, will be awarded to the analysis of important documents in European history of the 19th and 20th centuries. The condition for granting the credit will develop presentations and seminar papers touching the topic of forming a European statehood during the 19th and 20th centuries, including the use of the subject in the curriculum of history, OV, ON and social science at the elementary and secondary schools.
