Course content
Topics: Trends in education, developmental tendencies and their evaluation. Problematic areas in the educational fields of social science foundations, their analysis, prevention, and solutions. Pedagogical research on topics in social science education.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should be able to: " independently teach Citizenship Education and Civic and Social Studies; " didactically transform all content of educational fields according to the relevant target group; " evaluate problematic areas of educational field content and propose solutions; " discuss the interrelationships between educational fields and the comprehensive vision of education in the Czech Republic in a professional manner; " list the basic methods of pedagogical research and examples of research in the given areas.

Attendance at lectures is recommended! Attendance at seminars is compulsory and further details will be provided by the lecturer in the introductory seminar, including assignments and deadlines for their submission. The course ends with an exam in which students demonstrate comprehensive subject-specific and didactic orientation and knowledge based on the content of the courses DV1@, DV2@, and DV3@. Before taking the exam, students must have earned credit for the seminar. The exam is in the form of a test with open and closed questions. The minimum percentage of points required to pass the test is 65%. In case of failure, the test can be repeated a maximum of two times. The exam may also include an oral part on a general topic, which will be assigned to students in advance. Conditions for students with an individual study plan Attendance at lectures is recommended according to the student's possibilities. Attendance at seminars is at least 30%, which is based on internal standard PdF-B-23/10. Further details will be agreed upon with the teacher who leads the seminar.
