Ancient philosophy and Christianity. Boethius. Aurelius Augustinus. Eriugena. Medieval Philosophy: Thomas Aquinas and Albert the Great. Late Scholastics - Duns Scottus. University status and development of education and scientific thinking. From the Middle Ages to the Reformation. Martin Luther.

Learning outcomes
|
This course will terminological definition of basic concepts of medieval philosophy and science. It will also be presented to the medieval concept of faith and the Church as an institution. After completing the course, students should be able to: "Demonstrating orientation in medieval philosophy, "To characterize the basic attributes of medieval culture, "Clarify the system of medieval philosophical and religious thought, "To analyze the basic texts of medieval philosophy.
