Course content
topics: - the application layer services: DNS (Domain Name System), DHCP, File Server, Print Server, - MS Active Directory directory service structure, deployment methods, domain - active and passive network elements (hub, bridge, switch, router, rack, patch panel) - basics of server virtualization (Virtual PC, WinBox, VMware Player, VMware, Hyper-V) - Work with virtual machine (migration, backup) and the possibility of converting into different virtualization solutions, - installation of the operating system MS Windows Server and MS Windows Update server, - configuration and customization of MS Windows server, - service management and user account MS Windows Server, - IIS configuration (application server) and file server (File Server) - Configuring DNS (Domain Name System), MS Active Directory, and DHCP server.

Learning outcomes
Overview and classification of Internet services, communication and sharing in computer networks. Layered architecture. Model client - server. Netiquette. The rules of operation, access methods, integration of environment settings remoting. Severa technology, transmission media. Integrity and confidentiality of data transmissions. Resource sharing services. File transfers. Protocols to enable the operation of basic Internet services on mobile phones, pagers and other wireless media.
After completing the course, students should be especially able to: - configure and manage the virtualization layer VMware and Hyper-V, - Install MS Windows server and perform the customization and update - configure the operating system MS Windows server, - Manage the services and user accounts Windows 2003 server, - Install and manage IIS configuration and assign the role of file server computer, - assign the role of DNS and DHCP server computer, - assign a role subordinate domain controller computer.
