Objective of the course in terms of learning outcomes and competences The aim of the course is to acquire basic knowledge of CNC systems (machine building, its basic functional units, CNC machine control, G-code generation) and practical knowledge and skills in CAM systems. The course is designed for students who have completed CAD-based learning, thus enabling them to build on their knowledge and skills. Students will learn how to generate a CNC code for a training machine based on the generated production drawing. They will learn how to make a part on a CNC machine and a 3D printer. The subject is divided into two parts: work in CAM and machining on CNC machines and 3D printing. Specific themes: - Introduction to CAM environment, basic program operation, modeling, creation of CNC code, communication with NC machine, creation of 2D geometry, modeling, surface creation (cross sections, control curve), creation of rounding area, machining of one surface and machining more areas, - 3D printers, management specifics, modeling for 3D printing.
