Historical overview of the development and application of biotechnology. "Classical and modern" biotechnology. Technology principles - Bioreactors. Culture media and industrial raw materials. Kinetics of cell growth and product formation, single and continuous cultivation. Sterilization and aeration. Biotransformation of immobilized enzymes and cells. Biofilms.
