After completing the course, students should be able to: - Formulate and explain the principles of heredity of qualitative and quantitative traits - Apply theoretical knowledge of genetics to solve genetic examples - Characterize the molecular basis of heredity and gene expression in prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms - Describe basic methods of molecular biology and explain their essence - Use molecular biology methods in laboratory work to implement simple experiments - Discuss the ethical and social aspects of contemporary molecular biology and genetics
