After completing the course, students should be able to: - Create a logical synthesis of knowledge from different sectors of Botany and use it in their teaching practice, - Time to sort and describe the main stages / events in the development of algae and higher plants, - Differentiate and explain the main evolutionary trends in the development of algae and higher plants, - Explain the position of various groups of algae and higher plants in the system in terms of phylogeny, - Describe and justify pattern extensions of plants on Earth and in the Czech Republic, - Understand the basic phytogeographical terminology.
