Course content
Introduction to multicultural education. Multicultural society, culture. Definition of terms intercultural and multicultural, multicultural education. Minorities and migrants in the Czech Republic. Problems of integration and education in Czech Republic and abroad. Media image of multiculturalism. Multicultural education as a profile topic of framework educational programmes for primary education.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
The subject offers the basic knowledge about different socio-cultural groups living in Czech and European society. The subject develops the ability of - orientation in socio-cultural heterogeneous world, - using inter-cultural contacts to enrich the student and the others, - nursing attitudes of tolerance, respect and openness of mind to the different groups of people.
Students will be provide with competences that will get to the content and objectives of the courses.
Prerequisites
Orientation in the area of interculture.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Seminar Work

Students will submit a seminar paper on a given topic, during the course they will present a lesson or project on a selected topic in the field of MKV.
