The aim of the thesis internship course is to provide space and opportunity for students to conduct field research in educational facilities aimed at demonstrating selected professional competencies of the graduate of the degree program: Within the thesis students will demonstrate: " the ability to link theory and pedagogical practice, " the ability to work with pedagogical research tools, " the ability to analyze, draw conclusions, discuss, based on theoretical knowledge and practical skills, " the ability to work with professional literature with the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their studies, " the ability to present and defend their own work.

a) Within the research-oriented work focused on the processing of primary data, the condition for the award of the diploma is the completed implementation of field research on educational reality and the submission of a comprehensive part of the thesis, where it will be defined: - the basic theoretical background of the thesis - description of the research methodology - specification of the research design in the field of quantitative or qualitative research - research aim, research questions, in the case of quantitative research also formulation of hypotheses for statistical analysis - specification of the formation and description of the research population - characteristics of the researched persons - description of the methods and tools applied for data collection - description of the collection procedure and methods of processing the obtained data - ethical parameters of the conducted research - presentation and interpretation of the research results. b) In the application thesis, the condition for the award of the diploma is the completed implementation of research aimed at verifying the application of teaching or educational aids and texts, school or out-of-school educational activities for the field of pre-primary education and training, teaching programmes, innovative approaches to education and training, sets of worksheets that have been verified in practice with a sufficiently large target group and the submission of a comprehensive part of the diploma thesis, where the following will be defined: - the basic theoretical background of the thesis; - the final design of teaching/educational aids, etc. - a practical part, in which, based on previous application research, there is a comprehensive description of the verification of the developed materials/procedures/methodologies in practice and, where appropriate, a discussion of the results. Other types of theses will be evaluated with regard to their elaboration by the programme guarantor. Credit for the course graduation will be awarded by the course guarantor on the basis of the consenting declaration of the thesis supervisor that the output from the practice (thesis) is in accordance with the above requirements.
