Course content
|
The course is focused on acquiring theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills in the field of experiential pedagogy/education. After completing the course, students should be able to explain the basic concepts of experiential education and reflect the opportunities offered by the pedagogy of the experience for educational practice and leisure education. Students should learn how to integrate experience/adventure into everyday pedagogical/educational practice and create a portfolio of suitable activities that are easy to implement in mainstream education. Part of the course is, if appropriate conditions, also passing an experiential pedagogy course or a winter or boating course.

Learning outcomes
|
Students should be able to define basic terms and explain the principles of experiential education, based on the understanding of the principles of group dynamics to design games and other experiential activities suited to a particular group, to lead effectively feedback within range of experiential activities, to prepare a project of a experiential event. Themes: Terminology of the experiential education. The principles of experiential education - experiential learning, comfort zone, flow. The emergence and development of experiential education. Group dynamics. A game as an educational tool. Methods and techniques of feedback. Design, implementation and evaluation of experiential activities. Principles of experiential events dramaturgy.

Prerequisites
|
Basic knowledge of experience pedagogy and free time pedagogy, orientation in outdoor activities, ability to participate in activities, group management and cooperation

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Seminar Work
Theoretical work on experiential pedagogy in the student's country - historical overview, development, current status. Presentation of good practice in the field of experiential pedagogy in your country, e.g. in relation to the specifics of culture, etc. Two typical games. The presentation of the work will take place on an experiential course.
