You will learn about: How to understand comparative pedagogy and reasons for studying it How to make comparisons in the context of education How to explore characteristics and various types of cultures and its relationship with education How to consider the economic, political, social and historical contexts for educational comparison How to analyze the characteristics of the education system in selecting countries.

Students who complete this course will be able to understand comparative pedagogy and reason for studying comparative pedagogy, how to make comparisons in the context of education, the characteristics and various types of cultures and its relationship with education, the economic, political, social and historical contexts for educational comparison and the students will be able to characterize the school systems in selected countries, describe current trends in education.

This course is designed for practicing teachers as well as for undergraduate and graduate students who are student teaching or tutoring. There are no content prerequisites for taking this course.
