Antisocial phenomena analysis and characteristics (bullying, extremism, the fundamentals of aggressive behaviour, vandalism, juvenile behaviour). Crime rate (development, current state). Prostitution (characteristics of the phenomena, state, types, STDs). Suicide rate (characteristics, development and current state, forms and types). Alcoholism, nicotinism (characteristics, current state, consequences). Non-alcoholic addictions (drugs, classification, characteristics of physical and psychological addiction to individual drugs). Other addictions (pathological gambling, workoholism, etc.). The issues of preventing social deviations (types of prevention, forms and methods). The issue of social deviations therapy (characteristics, types, options).

The course will cover issues related to the position of social pedagogy, its objectives, and its major characteristics. Topics that are discussed include education as a part of socialization, the functions of education in the context of a family, peer group, and social group at school, and the development of children's personalities. The course is also devoted to developing practical skills necessary for efficient social intervention. The purpose of the course is to consider the issues of social education in relation to the prevention of pathological phenomena.
