Adult education system in the humanities. Adult education in the historical context. Andragogy-professional terminology. Specifics and peculiarities of adult education. Basic forms and methods of adult education. Adult educators. Teaching skills. Training and educational dimensions of Adult Education. The issue of care for adults. Areas of functional activity in adults. Distance education. Senior citizens education (elderly education). Lifelong learning.

Learning outcomes
|
Students should be able to explain the meaning of adult education within human sciences and they should know about its historical development. It is necessary to be familiar with the basic terminilogy, explain the main differences between the education of children and adults; to describe its main principles and methods including specific teaching skills. Students should explain what principles is distance learning based on, describe education of the elderly and the contemporary trends of lifelong education.
