Course content
Social care of persons with drug addictions, probation and mediation service, penitentiary and post-penitentiary care, respite care, hospice care. Services in accordance with Act no. 108/2006 of the Coll. on social services, as amended by subsequent legal regulations.

Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Demonstration
  • Homework for Teaching - 25 hours per semester
  • Attendace - 25 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Introduction to the basic terminology of social work and social care, institutions, functions, relation to medical care, demographic development with respect to social issues.
The student is able to understand the basic concepts of social care, control and management system for the organization of social care in the Czech Republic , as well as care for the family and children.
Prerequisites
General knowledge of social policy.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

Elaborating a seminar thesis on a given topic, group work.
