Learning outcomes
|
After completing the course students should be able to: explain and describe the differences between qualitatively and quantitatively oriented research, formulate research problems, questions, and hypotheses, to create a process of quantitative research, enumerate and characterize the level measurement in educational research, suggest a project of empirical research, applied basic research methods and techniques in terms of pre-school education, using selected statistical methods used in the testing of hypotheses, find the best sources of information to describe and characterize qualitative research in educational sciences, explain and describe the differences in selected designs of qualitative research, evaluate and interpret qualitative and quantitative research data, describe and characterize the ethics of research.
Students can apply basic research methods and procedures in terms of pre-school education. Methods of data collection in empirical research (questionnaire, interview). Basic procedures used in the evaluation of research data (frequency tables, pivot tables, texts statistical significance).
