Learning outcomes
After completing the course students should be able to understand, analyze selected theories of education and on their basis conceive their own theory of education - the fulfillment of the main objective is conditioned by the fulfillment of the sub-objectives, which are: " to define the basic theories of education and education (theories of education), " to explain the developmental tendencies of theories of education and their changes in contemporary contexts, " to characterize the sciences of education as sciences of educational reality. " to analyze and reconstruct basic educational concepts in the context of the theory of the teaching profession (pedeutology), " to evaluate (critically) and establish the intersection between educational theory and practice in relation to society, " to analyze pedagogical categories with respect to their historical-pedagogical grounding in the modern pedagogical debate, " to clarify the thought structure of various contemporary patterns of thinking about education - anthropological ideas about man, philosophical, sociological and theological definitions of the goals of education, views on the role of the teacher, " to clarify the historical roots of contemporary trends in education.

Discharge from the course will be granted on the basis of the following conditions: a) active participation in seminars - on the basis of self-study and completion of assignments presented sequentially in the moodle system. b) passing an oral examination verifying knowledge of basic pedagogical categories and their context through their application in the process of analysis of selected pedagogical problems.
