This discipline presents the fields of psychology and pedagogy, transformed into the teaching subject of psychology and pedagogy at schools, preparing professionals for work in the medical profession. The development of future teacher's competencies for teaching a given subject is monitored, and a contribution is made to the development of expert subject competence by training professionalis on how to put together the contents of a subject according to school standards. A student is guided in his/her managerial and self-development by means of designing projects on selected topics in psychology and pedagogy. He/she works with findings based on output indicators in the teaching process (established partially by means of pedagogical diagnostics and the monitoring system of the teaching programme). He/she learns about the significance of pupils' and students' personal characteristics in the development of his/her professional skills at secondary and higher vocational schools (the dimensions of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of a personality) and their relation to the aims of education and teaching. As part of their exercises, students apply their findings to didactic principles. They learn about the taxonomy of methods in educating and teaching, and create type examples during their exercises.
