Course content

Communication. Social communication. Non-verbal and verbal communication. Para-linguistic communication. "Yesterday and today" rhetoric. Communication and interpersonal relations. Effective and non-effective communication. Communication barriers. Stage fright (Fear of speaking in public). Selected verbal communication types. Assertiveness.

Learning outcomes
|
Practical training should support development of specific students´ psychosocial abilities and skills that are important for the work with people. Students should be able to apply their knowledge from social communication, social education, educational and social psychology in a practical way when solving model situations. Fulfilling practical tasks should develop students´ potential in the area of communication, empathy, cooperation and assertiveness. The subject will develop pro-social behaviour in the area of self esteem, self-reflection and emotional stability in particular.

Student performance
Implementation of individual theoretical and practical challenges, active participation in model situations, role play and evaluate their speech and actions.
