Course content
Basic management terms, concept of school management as a borderline pedagogical discipline and schools as specific organizations, status and impact of school management and self-management in the CR, school micromanagement processes, school organizational chart, including advisory bodies, the concept of school as a legal subject with pedagogical autonomy, the concept of community school, essential applicable regulations in education, etc.

Learning outcomes
Subsequent to completing this subject, the student should be able to define the basic terms and issues pertaining to general and school management, and apply the findings of the general and school management in managing a school, especially at the type of school they are professionally preparing for. The contents of this subject are the following topics: Basic terms of general management, essential conceptions about management. School management, state administration and autonomy in the education system. Establishment and financing of schools. Planning in the education system. Organizational structures in the education system. Human resource management. Monitoring in the education system and in the school - external and internal evaluation of a school's work, management of changes. School culture and image. Educational policy of EU, the Czech Republic and pregradual preparation of medical employees.
After completing the course, students will be able to demonstrate the fulfillment of its objectives.
