Course content
|
Nongovernmental organizations - definition and characteristics of the importance of NGOs for today's society. Nongovernmental organizations focused on leisure time, their creation, management and financing under applicable legislation. Association of children and youth - development and current status of formally organized associations of children and youth in the Czech Republic. Characteristics of selected children and youth associations.

Learning outcomes
|
After completing the course, students should be able to: define the non-profit sector and describe its specifics, characterize the association, non-profit organization, institute, foundation and endowment fund in the intentions of the new Civil Code (creation, management funding) explain the importance of NGOs for the life of a democratic society, describe the evolution and current status of the association of children and youth and its importance for pedagogy of free time, characterize the most important associations of children and youth in our country and in the world.

Student performance, Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio
The student elaborates seminar work, which in detail describes the selected association for children and youth, including an analysis of its significance for education in their free time.
