Course content
Basic terms from general management, basic ideas on management. Management in education, state administration and self-administration in education. Foundation and financing of schools. Planning in education. Organizational structures in education. People management. Inspection in education and at school - external and internal evaluation of schools work, change management. School culture and image.

Learning outcomes
Upon completing this subject, the student should be able to define the basic terms and issues regarding general and school management, and apply their findings from general and school management to the management of a school suited to his/her professional interests. The topics are: basic terms of general management, essential conceptions about management, school management, state administration and autonomy in educational systems, establishing and financing schools, planning educational systems, organizational structures in educational systems, human resource management, monitoring educational systems and schools - external and internal evaluation of a school's work, managing changes, school culture and image, educational policies of the EU, the Czech Republic and pregraduate preparation of medical employees.
Upon completing this subject, the student should be able to define the basic terms and issues regarding general and school management, and apply their findings from general and school management to the management of a school suited to his/her professional interests. Prerequisites
Student must have completed the second continuous teaching experience.
