Course content
The paradigmatic structure of the sociology of childhood and youth. The child as a social actor. The Sociology of Childhood and Youth research. The culture of childhood and youth. The established concepts of socialization. The important fields for childhood and youth sociologists (family, peers, media, school, etc.). The generational order (social equality, socal order). Main sociological theories of family, family structure, the functions of the family, gender roles, traditional, modern and postmodern family,family relations, inequality and relationship between family and other social structures. seminar paper.

Learning outcomes
The principles of the sociology of childhood,youth and family.The history of branch and contemporary situation. The childhood as a social structure, its evolution and the present.Youth, childhood, family and modern society (family, school, peers, leisure time, work).
Students will be able to characterize the social impact on the education system presented family sociology and sociology of childhood and youth.
