Course content
<LI> 1. The child and his/her position in the family and society (including legislative anchoring). <LI> 2. Typology of threat, syndrome of abused, neglected and neglected child (CAN). <LI> 3. System of care for a child at risk. <LI> 4. Competence of the Social and Legal Protection Authority for Children (OSPOD). <LI> 5. Interdisciplinary cooperation (pediatrician, school counseling center, school counseling facilities, social-activation services for families with children, facilities for children requiring immediate assistance, professional counseling centers, the Police of the Czech Republic, courts, etc.). <LI> 6. Substitute family care and its forms . Institutional and protective education. <LI> 7. Inclusion and inclusive education in the context of supporting a pupil with a disadvantage/disability (socially endangered). <LI> 8. Case study and its importance in understanding the case and setting up professional assistance for an individual at risk.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop students' knowledge and partial competencies in relation to various forms of threat in a child's life, which can have a fundamental impact on the psychosocial development of an individual and their successful socialization.
After completing the course, students should be able to: <LI> describe the influence of the family on the development of a child, <LI> characterize the types of child endangerment, <LI> define the competences of the social and legal protection bodies of children, <LI> describe forms of intervention in the interests of the child, <LI> characterize the cooperation of experts and relevant bodies and organizations, <LI> know social prevention and care services for children at risk, <LI> be familiar with the relevant legislation.
Prerequisites
The prerequisite for enrolling in the course is studying in the 3rd year of the Bachelor's degree program in Education and completing professionally focused courses in your previous studies.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Seminar Work

Requirements for completing the course: <LI> A. SEMESTER THESIS A case study of a child at risk of psychosocial development. <LI> B. ORAL EXAM within the scope of the subject areas.. For students with ISP, a minimum of 30% student participation in face-to-face classes and fulfillment of duties as assigned by the teacher is required.
