Course content
Basic concepts of social communication, communication functions. Self-knowledge and understanding of others, interpersonal perception, errors in interpersonal perception, barriers to communication, means of communication, structure, communication, types and forms of communication, Communication skills: empathy, active listening, feedback, assertiveness, assertive, handling, defense against manipulation; Questions: function issues, classification issues, guidelines for asking questions, conversation, dialogue, discussion, panel discussion, negotiation, coaching, management and effective communication, conflict and resolution, communication in specific situations - leading workshops, communication with superiors, team cooperation

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Observation, Projection (static, dynamic)
Learning outcomes
Determinants of social communication. Importance of interaction and perception for social communication. Personality types and their ways of behaviour. Expresiveness in communication. Importance of communication symbols. Empathy, suggestion, ingratiation, conformism, assertiveness. Communication competence. Communication skills. Stressors in interpersonal communication. Interpersonal communication breakdowns.
Preparing to work in a helping profession, the development and cultivation of communicative skills, training, empathic communication.
Prerequisites
Study and personal skills for study and work in the helping professions.
