Empirical research, measurement in empirical research, basic methods of descriptive statistics.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject deals with these topics: Methods of human cognition, Techniques of work with special literature, Empirical research and its kinds, Formulation of problems for empirical research, Hypothesises and rules for their formulations, Selection of elements for research samples, Research ex-post-facto and experiments, Quantitative and qualitative research, and The most frequented methods of collecting data for empirical research (observation, questionnaire, interview, tests).
Students will gain knowledge in what cases to use descriptive statistics, dependency analysis and statistical tests. Gets skills methods of data processing, methods of graphical presentation of data, analysis and application of statistical tests.

Basic knowledge of methodology, mathematics and statistics.

To be able to execute data in pedagogical investigation using basic methods of descriptive statistics.
