The discipline is focused on the introduction and basic ideas, principles, methods and consequences of inclusive pedagogy in various contexts. Students will be introduced to different terminology in Europe and worldwide, many organizations involved in inclusive education and treatment, especially in relation to education, teaching, but also to clinical, medical and other sectors. 1. Inclusive pedagogy/education/treatment - definition, related terminology (heterogeneity, diversity, equal opportunities etc.), intact (typical) and mainstream population, pupils and students with special education needs, integration/inclusion, segregation, exclusion, mainstreaming, multiculturalism, cultural-linguistic heterogenic environment, migrant students in education. 2. Historical development of the concept of inclusive education in Europe and worldwide (influence of European Union policy, influence of the Nordic countries, USA etc.), brief introduction to the history of inclusive education - main milestones, events, personalities of inclusive education and principles of inclusive education, intervention ad teaching, attitudes Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Salamanca Statement the Dakar and other Statements, acceptance of inclusion in Europe by the Ministries (Departments) of Education. 3. The role of the European Agency of the Development of Special and Inclusive Education ? history and current activities of the organization, its influence on the development of inclusive education in EU countries. Relation to UNICEF, UNESCO and other organizations involved in developing education and inclusive trends. 4. Standards of inclusive education - definition of existing standards. Pedagogical support in inclusive education. Methods of inclusive education/treatment - specifics of inclusive education and treatment and accommodation of inclusive environment. 5. Specifics of multicultural inclusive education. Evaluation in inclusive education - evaluation of the extent and quality of inclusion. Inclusion indexes. Description of selected methods of inclusive pedagogy (especially methods of co-teaching and co-treating, cooperative and parallel learning and teaching). 6. The risks in inclusive education process - possible limitations in inclusive education (influence of prejudice, family, school management, school climate, ableism, quality of inclusive education measures and timeliness of adequate differential diagnostics of educational needs of individuals and other factors on acceptance or success of inclusive education) 7. The personality of an inclusive teacher ? the profile of an inclusive teacher, application of the international research findings and analysis in the field of inclusive education, undergraduate and lifelong preparation for the requirements of inclusive pedagogical/educational practice - teachers, consultants, clinical workers. Multi-, inter- and trans- disciplinarity in inclusive education. 8. Sources of information about inclusion - examples of a good practice, specific suggestions of possibilities of creating an inclusive educational environment. Evidence-based and research-based approach.
