Course content
Introduction to problems of communication skills as a complex discipline and its application in teaching. Framework introduction to the basic concepts of: speech, language, communication (verbal, non-verbal / non-verbal, formal, informal), interaction, social communication, social perception, communication process, educational communication, voice professionalism, interaction style, self-reflection, monologue, dialogue, assertiveness pathological modes of communication, conflict. Acquisition of theoretical knowledge in the areas of Communication and Culture. Ethics in communication. Communication as a transactional process. Effective and active listening. Verbal and nonverbal communication. Communication and social relationships. Communication in stressful situations. Teaching communication. Assertiveness and communication.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
  • Attendace - 12 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 24 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Subject offers gaining better communication competence for effective contact with both handicapped and non-handicapped pupils.
Getting the communication skills of students for effective contact with healthy and handicapped students.
Prerequisites
Prerequisites to study at university. A positive relationship with the children and to their future profession.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test

Preparation of seminar paper of 8-10 pages and its presentation during the course. Independent study of literature. Compliance with the requirements of the final test.
