Course content
Descriptive statistics (statistical data sets and statistical features, types of variables, basic statistical characteristics). Analysis of dependencies (dependency basic ways of describing dependencies, analysis of variance, nonparametric methods, regression analysis, correlation analysis, etc.). Statistical tests and coefficients. Methods for data executing in pedagogical investigation, statistical methods used for testing of hypotheses.

Learning outcomes
Measurement in educational research, its types and properties. Methods of data processing. Characteristics of position (mean values??). Degree of variability. Methods graphical display of data. Selected survey analysis techniques (Quartile charts, graphs SL). Normal distribution and its properties. Methods and techniques of relational analysis. Correlation analysis (Spearman and Pearson correlation coefficient). Statistical significance tests: chi-square test, sign test, Wilcoxon test, U-test, Student's t-test, paired t-test. The principle of factor and cluster analysis.
Students will gain knowledge in what cases to use descriptive statistics, dependency analysis and statistical tests. Gets skills methods of data processing, methods of graphical presentation of data, analysis and application of statistical tests.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of methodology, mathematics and statistics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

To analyse nominal, ordinal and metric data using statistical methods.
