Course content
Sciential rresearch and its analyse. methods of data collecting in empirical research. Investigation ex-post-facto and experiments.

Learning outcomes
Scientific research and its main phases.Hypotheses in empirical research. Qualitative and quantitative methods of research. Ex-post-facto research and experiments. Experimental plans. Methods of collecting data in empirical research. Pedagogical observation. Techniques of standardized observation. Questionnaires in pedagogical research and their construction. Sociometry. Semantic differential. Q-methodology. Research report.
Students will be able to characterize scientific research and its specifics in the social sciences and pedagogy. Will know the basic methods and techniques of data collection, sample design and basic characteristics of descriptive statistics. Students will be able to describe methods of testing of research hypotheses, statistical tests of significance and describe the data on which it can use. He can describe the normal distribution of the data and its properties. He will be able to verify the research hypotheses. He knows how to use correlation analysis in education research. He can apply appropriate graphical representation of data. It is able to write a final research report.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of methodology, mathematics and statistics.
