Course content
The main concepts of didactics and methodology of teaching foreign languages. Methods of teaching a foreign language. Role of teacher and pupil in foreign language teaching. Lesson: its structure, types of lessons. Working with vocabulary, forms, exercises control. Development of language skills. Exercise supporting the development of language skills. Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Computer-aided instruction, new trends in education. Open forms of teaching. Analysis of textbooks for teaching the German language. Web site aimed at teaching the German language. Framework educational program for basic education.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should be able to: - define the concepts of didactics and methodology of teaching foreign language, language skills, - analyze and evaluate various didactic concept with regard to language teaching - define categories of teacher and student in foreign language learning, clarify their interactions - enumerate and characterize basic methods of teaching foreign languages - explain the laws and principles of working with language means in German language teaching - enumerate and characterize learning strategies and apply them to foreign language teaching - analyze basic teaching materials used in German language teaching in primary schools
Students are familiar with the basic terminology of didactics and methodology of foreign language. The student is able , on the basis of acquired knowledge to actively communicate , discuss and argue the thematic lines defined seminar. An active approach to teaching students. Performance continuously given tasks.
Prerequisites
Active knowledge of German language, communication skills and creative thinking.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Student performance, Didactic Test, Systematic Observation of Student

Requirements for Student: Active participation in seminars, participation in the sub-tasks.
