Learning outcomes
|
Emphasis is placed on the vocabulary of German, its evolution and development. Topics include issues of words, words meaning (denotation, connotation, onomatopoeia) and lexical-semantic relations.
Ability to explain the the basic lexicology concepts: sememe, word meaning, denotation, connotation, onomatopoeic words, and lexical relations.

The student is able to discuss and respond in German language in the course.
