1st meeting PC components (hardware x software, PC components, peripherals) Functioning of a PC (digital data recording, bit, Byte, DPI, colour depth, John von Neumann?s architecture of a PC) 2nd meeting History of PC, history of operating systems Internet, history of Internet, Internet protocols

Learning outcomes
The subject is meant for 1st year students who need to complete essential skills in IT. It introduces to students hardware of IT and teaches them how to use IT. Students get acquainted with individual parts of a computer, principle of working with a computer and digital data recording, using the Internet, history of computers and the Internet. The lesson take place in a computer classroom.
